Awhile back, Angelina Jolie and Clint Eastwood did an interview with Enough Rope’s Andrew Denton during their big press run. The interview aired this week and now that it’s available on YouTube, I can share a clip with you.
Unfortunately the clip is only a little more than five minutes, even though the full interview is longer than that. In this one, Clint talks about how stardom has changed in his time and how he was filming a scene outside and he couldn’t get over the amount of people lurking about with long lenses, just trying to get photos of Angelina Jolie on the set. He said he doesn’t recall anything like that in the earlier days of Hollywood.
Angelina also talks about the misguided thought that they “auctioned off their babies” when they did the exclusive first photos. Again, she re-emphasizes that they had two choices - to let the paparazzi grab the first ones and pocket the cash or to control it all so that they could take the money and put it to good use through charities.
You can also read the transcript here on the official Enough Rope website.
