Sawyer stumbles through the jungle with Aaron. Kate and Jack have guns aimed at him.

“Where’s Claire?” Kate asks.

“We lost her,” Sawyer says.

“You what?” Jack asks.

“She just walked off in the middle of the night. We looked for her for a day, but she was just gone. I was hoping maybe she went back to the beach.

“She didn’t,” Jack says.

Aaron starts crying.

“What are you all doing out here?” Sawyer says in a low voice. “What’s that?”

“Chopper flew over the beach. Someone tossed this out. It must have been Sayid,” Jack says.

“Well, You better hope it’s not Sayid,” Saywer says. “Because if he’s with those animals that blew up half of New Othertown, you do not want him tossing anything.

“What, they tried to kill you?” Kate asks.

“Just like Locke said they would,” Sawyer replies.

“So, what, we’re supposed to just turn around and hide. Because it seems that didn’t work so well for you,” Jack retorts.

“I’m sorry, doc, maybe this is deja vu,” Sawyer cuts in. “Why didn’t you just do that whole run through the jungle with a walkie plan.”

“That helicopter is our only way off this island.” Jack says.

“What’s with you and getting off this island? You’re like a damn broken record,” Sawyer says angrily.

“Stop it, so what you’re fighting each other now?” Kate says.

“Look, I put Sayid and Desmond on that chopper. It was my call. It was my responsibility. I’m going after it, whether they are on it or not. You all head back to the beach …”

“Jack, no no no, you can’t …” Kate interrupts.

“Just take care of the baby, okay?” Jack says.
