Saudi King in Spain for Inter-Faith Conference

Saudi Arabia’s King Abdullah is in Madrid, Spain to attend an international conference seeking to promote communication among the world’s major religions. He was met at the airport today, July 15, 2008, by Spain’s King Juan Carlos.

A gala dinner was held at the Royal Palace in honor of the visiting king.

The conference, World Conference on Dialogue, is organized by the Muslim World League. It will begin tomorrow, July 16, 2008 and end on July 18, 2008. It was initiated by King Abdullah, who, along with King Juan Carlos, will speak at the opening ceremony. Representatives of Islam, Christianity, Judaism and Buddhism will attend.
