Normally, I would walk through each dance routine with my own critique, ending with a comment or two about which dances were the most noteworthy for the evening, but tonight, I have to do it differently.

The dance that Will & Jessica danced was truly magnificent! Tyce Diorio choreographed one of the most amazing routines I’ve seen in a very long time. In fact, it was the first time this season that I found myself completely mesmerized by the movement and had to back up the TiVo and watch it over at least a half dozen times before even bothering to hear what the judges had to say.

Will has proven himself to be a true standout all season (he is one of my picks for the final four, if not the winner) but this week, he was even more extraordinary than ever before.

And Jessica! WOW! This was her best performance yet by far. Together, they made magic on the stage.

Due to copyright laws, I am not allowed to post the videos of this dance, even if they are on YouTube, but this is why you either must watch each week or set your recording device. You really shouldn’t miss any of the performances this season.

That being said, here are the dancers and the styles they performed tonight, with my personal ranking from 0 to 5 (5 being best.)

  • Chelsie & Mark

    • Salsa choreographed by Alex DiSilva - 4
  • Comfort & Thayne
    • Hip-Hop choreographed by Napoleon & Tabitha D’Umo - 3.5
  • Will & Jessica
    • Contemporary - choreographed by Tyce Diorio - 5+
  • Gev & Courtney
    • Cha-Cha choreographed by Anya Garnis & Pasha Kovalev from last season - 4.5
  • Kherington & Twitch
    • Krump choreographed by Lil C - 4.5
  • Katee & Joshua
    • Viennese Waltz choreographed by Jean-Marc Genereux - 4
  • Chelsie & Mark
    • Broadway choreographed by Tyce Diorio - 5
  • Comfort & Thayne
    • Contemporary choreographed by Mandy Moore - 3.5
  • Will & Jessica
    • Quickstep choreographed by Tony Meredith & Melanie LaPatin - 4.5
  • Gev & Courtney
    • Jazz choreographed by Mandy Moore - 4.5
  • Kherington & Twitch
    • Smooth Tango choreographed by Jean-Marc Genereux - 4
  • Katee & Joshua
    • Bollywood choreographed by Nakul Dev Mahajan - 5

This was the first Bollywood routine danced on the show. I loved it! I would describe Bollywood as the Indian equivalent of Broadway. Good stuff!

I have my favorite dancers because of their personalities (Twitch, Kherington, Gev, Joshua, Thayne) and the ones that I think will most certainly be in the final four (Will, Twitch, Kherington, Katee) and the ones that I think may be in the bottom three couples tomorrow night (Comfort & Thayne, Chelsie & Mark & not sure about the other couple).

Next week, the dancers will dance with new partners, so it will be interesting to see how well they do. And be sure to watch tomorrow night to see who goes home!
